About Susana
I am a bilingual (Spanish-English) RDI-certified consultant with experience supporting diverse populations in educational settings. I hold an Associate degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts and Sciences Psychology, a Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Counseling, and have received training in the TEACCH methodology, along with an advanced certificate in Trauma-Informed care and Mental Health Recovery and a Post-Master Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from San Diego State University.
I currently work as an RDI® Certified Consultant and Relationship Development Intervention® Specialist, providing parent education, developmental assessments, and ongoing guidance to families of children with autism. My background also includes experience in Disability Support Services and academic counseling at the community college level, where I have supported students with disabilities, developed educational plans, and advocated for equitable access to resources.
As a mother of two boys, one of whom is on the autism spectrum, I made a deliberate decision to further my education in the field of autism and to align my career with supporting the neurodivergent population. I bring over 20 years of experience working with children and families of children with autism. This lived experience enhances my empathy and strengthens my commitment, enabling me to support families with both professional expertise and genuine understanding. I am the Founder of BridgeWorld Consulting. At BridgeWorld Consulting, we help families build meaningful, joyful, and confident relationships with their children.
