We are privileged to announce that Dr Jessica Hobson is joining the presentation team at the Sonoma Two-Day RDI Workshop this May 17th & 18th. During her breakout, Dr. Hobson will present an overview of infancy through early childhood: focusing on the child-caregiver interactive system as the developmental route for social, emotional, and cognitive accomplishments.
Jessica Hobson is an Adjunct Professor in the Psychology and Early Childhood Studies Departments at Sonoma State University, and a Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Child Health, University College London. She is a clinical psychologist, with a PhD in Child Clinical Psychology. Her research and clinical interests include joint attention, symbolic play, and parent-child interaction, with a focus on autism and early typical development. She has been an RDI Consultant since 2001 / 2006 – current, and is involved in a program of studies on quality of parent-child interaction and therapeutic change for families taking part in Relationship Development Intervention.
