About Nancy
I am a wife to my husband for 9 years, a mom of two beautiful girls, a successful entrepreneur and am blessed to call Vancouver Island my home.
I have worked along with ASD and their families for over 20 years. I studied at Thompson River University & Vancouver Island University focusing on Special needs individuals and community. I have completed training in Positive Behaviour supports, Sensory Integration, Social Skill development, Emotional Regulation and other various courses. I have worked as an Interventionist, Behaviour Consultant, Team leader, Early Intervention Director, and Executive Director for various community agencies in BC and Alberta.
Throughout my extensive experience, I have always believed family is where the focus needs to be to help any child/youth thrive! I was seeking another approach than my formal training and then I came across RDI. I was intrigued and wanted to learn more about RDI and how it empowers the family to be the most influential aspect for their child and how we create program around child AND family…and so my RDI journey began.
I have successfully completed the intensive training program and am proud to be an RDI Certified Consultant. I am passionate about the RDI process and excited to offer it for ASD individuals and their families. I will work closely with parents/caregiver and create a unique program based on the family and individual. With my approachable, relaxed, and fun demeanour, we will work together to learn, understand and how to be an effective guide to your child/ youth.
I have worked with many families, and I have seen and heard of how effective RDI has been for individuals and families throughout my RDI journey. Families continually share with me how RDI has impacted their child/youth in so many positive ways and how the overall family dynamic has improved within their home. It’s been AMAZING!
