About Sharon

With over 30 years of personal experience as a parent to an autistic child and more than 20 years of professional expertise in the autism field, I bring a deeply personal and informed approach to supporting families on their journey. As a certified Relationship Development Intervention (RDI®) Consultant, RDI® Professional Training Supervisor, and Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT) Practitioner, my mission is grounded in hope, empowerment, and unwavering trust in the potential of every child and every family.

My academic background in Childhood and Youth Studies provides a solid theoretical foundation that enriches my hands-on work with families, schools, and professionals. Having walked the parenting path myself, I understand both the challenges and the profound joys that come with raising an autistic child. That lived experience fuels my passion for supporting and empowering parents, not just to manage, but to truly guide their child’s emotional, social, and cognitive development in a way that nurtures connection, growth, and a fulfilling quality of life.

I offer personalised RDI® and PACT programmes tailored to each family’s unique needs. I work closely with school staff, deliver parent training, and have spoken at numerous autism conferences and community events. I’ve also had the honour of collaborating directly with Dr Steven Gutstein, co-founder of RDI®, contributing to the evolution of the Dynamic Intelligence Curriculum.

Above all, I believe in the power of family, the importance of relationships, and the transformational potential that lies in guiding our children with hope and intention.
