About Sandra

My experience with RDI began in 2006 when I started working with RDI consultant, Katherine (Kat) Lee, for my courageous son (now an adult) who has autism, severe anxiety, mood disorder, and other co-occurring conditions. It was a relief to find something that helped him progress in many areas of his life, that did not seem very threatening or demanding to him. I love that RDI fostered a close relationship with my son and helped our entire family to function more like other families, especially when my kids were young. It empowered me to feel more confident in how to parent all my children through a connected relationship with them.

Through the years I homeschooled my two neuro-typical children grades K-12 (with the help of co-op classes) and I homeschooled my son with autism for 6 years. I have also been an aid and lead teacher in several homeschool co-op classes.

Because of a desire to delve deeper into RDI principals to assist my own family, and aspirations to help others in similar situations, I became an RDI Program Certified Consultant in July 2014. I feel blessed to have such a wonderful family and meaningful work with amazing clients. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Focus in Psychology, and continue to educate myself through many teachings from the RDI Connection Center, books, summits, and other resources. My location is Arlington, Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth area), but am able to do a lot of work with distance families through technology.
