RDI®️️ At Home: Setting Up the Grill

by | May 19, 2020 | Activities, RDI At Home

It’s Tuesday—like no Tuesday we’ve ever known.

Today’s video spotlights perseverance, thinking and resilience.

Watch this child figure out how to put a grill together.

A first look suggests that the parts are all alike and that they simply need to be moved from one part of the counter to their place on the grill. But, this is where the excitement occurs.  They are actually different in small ways and puzzling and seeking a solution complicated. You will cheer as the child feels success, smiles at the mother and keeps going.

Is it really about the grill?  I think not.

It’s about a sense of self—capable thoughtful self and taking on one’s own learning.
