Emotion Sharing Activities

Ideas for enhancing opportunities for emotion sharing with your child.

These ideas aren’t really new, but it is good to remember how important it can be to focus on the simple ways you can engage with one another. You might like to try building your emotional connection using these frameworks for interaction. Remember that your primary purpose is to build a connection with one another, share emotion and promote social engagement. These ideas are a framework that you can adapt depending on your environment and the specific interests of the child. Be creative and invent your own ways of relating to one another once you get the ‘feel’ for it.
